Ingredient Notes

  • White Chocolate Chips – Choose a good brand like Ghirardelli since this flavor is key to a delicious tasting fudge.
  • Marshmallow Fluff – This is also called marshmallow cream (or “creme”). It’s essentially marshmallows in a spreadable, pourable form and gives this fudge a soft texture. Use our homemade marshmallow fluff for delicious results.
  • Oreos – Crush them by placing the cookies in a plastic bag and rolling them with a rolling pin a few times. They don’t need to be pulverized or in crumbs. A few chunks are fine.
  • Gel Food Coloring – A few drops give this fudge the traditional green minty color. And with the gel style of food coloring, a little goes a long way and it won’t cause your white chocolate to seize up!

Easy Instructions

  1. Prepare the base ingredients. Add the white chocolate chips, marshmallow fluff, peppermint extract and green gel food coloring to a mixing bowl. No need to mix, but this should be ready to go.
  2. Boil the cream mixture. Heat the butter, heavy cream, sugar and salt over medium heat and bring to a boil. Let it boil for 5 minutes, while stirring, then pour the mixture over the ingredients in your mixing bowl.
  3. Make the fudge. Beat on low speed for about 1-2 minutes, until the white chocolate chips are melted and the mixture is smooth. Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
  4. Pour into pan and let set up. Pour the Oreo fudge mixture into a parchment paper lined baking pan and let set up for about 2 hours. Then cut into squares and enjoy!

Tips and Tricks

  • When getting that minty flavor, please DO NOT use “mint extract.” Unless you like spearmint. Mint is great in gum or toothpaste. Choose PEPPERMINT extract for this recipe. Just trust me on this.
  • Also, not all food coloring is the same. I use TWO drops of this Americolor Leaf Green Gel Food coloring. Minimal is best. And choose a gel, so it won’t cause your white chocolate to seize up, cause that’s no good. I love the Americolor gels, one drop goes a LONG way! I use it for tinting frosting on my Cream Cheese Sugar Cutout Cookies recipe!
  • Swap out the Oreos for girl scout Thin Mints if desired!
  • Line your baking dish with parchment paper before adding the fudge mixture. This makes it easy to grab the corners of the paper to remove the fudge from the pan once it’s set and cut into squares for serving.

How do I store Mint Oreo Fudge?

Store this fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. I prefer to leave the fudge in a block UNCUT until ready to serve, as this helps keep it from drying out. You do not need to refrigerate the fudge.

Can I freeze fudge?

Yes, you can freeze fudge for up to 3 months. Place in an airtight freezer safe bag, with a label and date on it, then squeeze all the air out before placing it in the freezer. Let the fudge thaw in the refrigerator overnight before enjoying.

Do I need a candy thermometer?

No candy thermometer needed for this fudge! We’re using my favorite easy boil method instead and it works great every time.

Ingredients 

  • 1 bag Ghirardelli white chocolate morsels 11 ounce
  • 1 jar marshmallow cream (Fluff) 7 ounce
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 2 drops green gel food coloring
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter
  • pinch of kosher salt
  • 20 Oreo cookies crushed

Instructions 

  • Line an 8-inch (or 9-inch) square baking dish with parchment paper or foil. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, attached to an electric mixer, add white chocolate chips, marshmallow cream, peppermint, and food coloring. Set aside.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt butter with sugar, heavy cream, butter and salt. Cook and stir over medium high heat until mixture begins to boil.
  • Once boiling, set timer for 5 minutes, and continue stirring while mixture boils.
  • Remove from heat and pour over ingredients in mixing bowl. Turn mixer on low and blend for about 1-2 minutes, until fudge is creamy and white chocolate is completely melted. Fold in crushed Oreo cookies.
  • Immediately pour into prepared baking dish. Allow to set at room temperature for 2 hours. Cut into bite size pieces and store in airtight container for up to two weeks at room temperature. ENJOY!

  1. You are killing me! I can’t resist chocolate mint, but then you had to go and throw in Oreos too. I am going to have to make this! (But for neighbor gifts, so I don’t eat the whole pan!)
